Watching with Jesus

As we read Matthew 26:36-45, we can read the account of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane just before His betrayal. In the garden, Jesus asks His disciples to "watch and pray." But they fell asleep. Watching with Jesus is a difficult thing to do because we very seldom look at things from His perspective. It is often hard to see the meaning in certain events but if we look with Jesus, I believe we will be able to see deeper. I believe we will be able to see the things that He wants us to see.

Sometimes the things He wants us to see are painful but they can be beneficial for us. Sometimes we gather things in our lives that shouldn't be there and Jesus has to bring it to our attention. It may be painful but it will help us in our relationship with Him. God's purpose for us to become more like Jesus everyday. This is my prayer for all believers.
